THE PEOPLE'S LAWYER
FIGHTING TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
THEN.........
I was sworn in and became licensed to practice law on September 27th, 1976. For over thirty-two (32) years, my practice was located in Trussville, Alabama, where I was born and raised. I bought a home in Pinson, Alabama in February, 2004, and in March, 2009, I decided to move my office to Pinson so that I would be closer to home. Unless something unforeseen happens, my plans are to stay close to home in the Pinson area.
Over the past thirty-two (32) plus years, I have been involved in thousands of cases all over the State of Alabama; some that have been ‘high profile’ cases, and some that have set precedence and/or lead to a change in the law. (See about me to learn about some, but not all of these cases.) These cases range from criminal, with emphasis on DUI cases and Constitutional questions; Civil cases, with an emphasis on serious personal injury and torte law; Domestic Relations cases, with an emphasis on Divorce and past Divorce matters; etc. While I have practiced law all over the State of Alabama, I am now limiting my practice to Jefferson County, Blount County, St. Clair County, Cullman County, and Shelby County. While I do not get involved in Social Security Dis-Ability cases; Bankruptcy cases or Tax cases, you can call my office, and we will be happy to refer you to attorneys that specialize in these matters. (I do not make any promises, guarantees and/or representations concerning the quality of the representation of any attorney that we may refer you to.)
I am a ‘people’s lawyer’, and have been told by Clients that they appreciate my answering their questions, and that they can understand and relate to me. My basic philosophy is that in handling a Client’s case is that the Client is the boss, and that the Client(s) should understand what is going on, and what has happened in his/her/their case. While the laws are always changing; the Appellate Courts are not always clear and consistent on their rulings; and there are still ‘gray areas’ in the law, and the Client’s questions cannot always be answered, I strive to make sure my Client(s)understands that there may not be a specific answer, and why. I encourage my Clients to ask questions so that they get a better feel and understanding of his/her/their case.
In selecting a lawyer to represent you in your case, the first thing you need to consider is the lawyer’s experience and/or expertise, and whether or not the lawyer is willing to put forth the time and effort into representing you in your case. My ‘track record’ speaks for itself. If given the opportunity, I will provide experience and/or expertise, and will put forth the time and effort, to provide the best legal representation.
